On the feast of St. Patrick, the Residents were very excited as we boarded the bus to head for the Throggs Neck St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Although not quite like the parade in Manhattan, the Throggs Neck event has it’s own local charm.
The frigid weather was no deterrent for the marchers and the warm bus provided shelter from the cold and a great view for the Residents.
Afterwards, we rushed home to greet a group of Irish Dancers who generously offered to entertain our Residents after the parade. After a delightful performance everyone mingled together to enjoy some homemade Irish Bread and coffee – another memorable St. Patrick’s Day!
