A trip to St. Patrick’s Cathedral allowed the Residents not only to obtain the Jubilee indulgence but to also see the latest addition to St. Patrick’s.

The St. Patrick’s Cathedral mural, titled “What’s So Funny About Peace, Love and Understanding,” is a 25-foot-tall artwork by Adam Cvijanovic that celebrates New York City’s history of immigration, from 19th-century Irish immigrants to modern-day arrivals.

Commissioned by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, it depicts figures like Mother Frances Cabrini and local first responders, and includes Catholic imagery such as the Apparition at Knock. The mural uses oil and gold leaf to transform the cathedral’s entrance into a symbol of welcome.
